FAQs

Here’s we’ve done our best to answer any questions you might have about TIDDLY trips but if you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to reach out on Contact Us page.

  • A TIDDLY trip is an alternative to the cookie cutter coach tours that you may have been on before. A trip where you get to see more of a local culture, create memories to last a lifetime and make friends from across the globe. We curate the best experiences in each destination, ensuring the perfect balance of fun, adventure and free time. We take the hassle out of planning and organise accommodation, transport, meals and experiences. Everything is taken care of, so all you need to is pack a bag and turn up!

  • We are group travel for those that don’t like traditional organised tours. You get all the perks of travelling with an amazing group of people, making connections for life and seeing the best of the world, without being stuck on a bus everyday and constantly living out of a suitcase. It’s a slower pace for those that like to come back from their holidays refreshed, not in need of another holiday.

  • The inclusions vary per trip so be sure to check out the details of the trip you’re looking at specifically. In general though, trips include accommodation (double or twin room), breakfast daily, all transport, local experiences and some dinners. Each trip has a leader to help you settle in, coordinate the adventures and provide any help you may need. Generally unless otherwise specified, trips don’t include flights, lunches, drinks, visas, insurance, or anything else you may wish to do or buy while you’re there.

  • The accommodation varies a lot depending on the trip itself, from villas in Greece, floating bungalows in Thailand, farmhouses in Italy to chalets in Japan. We choose accommodation that suits the destination we’re in. Most accommodation is 3-4 star, so it’s not budget hostels but also not 5-star luxury either.

  • Have a look at the inclusions specifically for the trip you’re interested in as it differs per trip. But generally speaking, breakfast is included each morning, lunches aren’t included unless as part of a day tour, dinners are included for some nights (where specified). We try to cater to all dietary requirements so please let us know post booking in the pre-departure travel form.

  • We recommend budgeting some daily spending money for; drinks, snacks, lunches, dinners out, taxis/buses/car hire, retail therapy, and anything else you might want to do. We’ll provide more information for each deal on what you should budget for and anything else specifically for that trip that people might want.

  • This depends on the trip but generally we keep all trips to 6-20 people at most. We want to ensure that the group gets along really well and everyone has the chance to get to know each other.

  • TIDDLY trips are designed for people who love to go on adventures and don’t want to go alone. We believe travel is best experienced with others. Our trips are equally suited to solo travellers and those travelling with friends. Must be open to adventures, easygoing, and friendly. Ladies only tour generally 40 and over.

  • 100%! If you are a solo traveller TIDDLY is a great way to meet some new, awesome people. We offer a couple of different options depending on the accommodation available. Most trips have some twin share rooms which we sell on a per person basis. So you purchase one of them and we’ll pair you up with another solo traveller. We also have options to purchase your own room at a higher rate, which you can add on during checkout if it’s available.

  • Yes, travel insurance is mandatory for anyone going on a TIDDLY trip as part of our terms and conditions. We suggest you take out travel insurance as soon as you can after purchase in case anything happens before or on the trip.

  • If for some reason you can’t attend your trip any longer, we can change the booking to another person, just get in touch with our customer service team and we’ll sort you out. See the booking terms and conditions for further information.

  • Yes most of our options available are for shared rooms, either in a double room with the person you’ve booked with, or in a twin room with another person we pair you up with. We can often offer a single room to yourself at a higher cost, just get in touch.

  • All trips require minimum numbers to proceed however once the minimum numbers are met, we do our best to ensure no trips are cancelled. However there are things outside of our control that may mean the trip needs to be cancelled. Refer to our terms and conditions for the full cancellation and refund policy.
