About TIDDLY Travel

We’re looking to change the way group tours work, slowing down travel and making it more about the journey, rather than the destination. If you’ve ever been on a group tour, you know how full on these trips are and often you’re spending most of your time driving, doing a boring walking tour of a city or partying. We’re aiming to change that with more in-depth, sustainable group tours where you dive deeper, explore more and have more free time.

How it Works

You let us know what destination and travel style you’re interested in and a bit more about yourself. Once we agree we’re a good fit for each other, we work together to align on the trip snapshot/overview.

We then source some relevant base trips from our partners that we think are feasible based on what you’re looking to showcase in a destination. Together we then adjust the trip as we see fit, this can include changing the accommodation type, adding extra days, skipping destinations and adding experiences, all based on your knowledge of the region and what you want from this trip. We also agree on fair market pricing based on research conducted.

Once we’ve agreed on the trip and itinerary, we get to work building the package and getting it all ready for market. This includes finalising pricing, dates, minimum numbers etc and preparing the marketing materials. Meanwhile you can start to get your audience excited about what is coming!

Then we launch a co-ordinated marketing effort, with content from you and supported by a wider paid marketing campaign from us. We manage all the questions and bookings that come through, facilitate payments and all confirmation and co-ordination needed.

Trips start running. You get paid based on a percentage of sales and either attend some trips yourself or watch your followers have the best time ever based on your recommendations!

FAQs

  • This will depend on the trip, how much it sells and if you want to accompany your trip. We will work together on what an appropriate trip price would be and from there agree on a % of sales commission you would make, likely between 5% of the trip price.

  • This depends if you are planning on attending the trip or not. At a minimum it’s expected you would supply photographs of the destination, create some reels, promote the trip on your account and provide us with some written content on why you love this trip.

  • We can’t accept everyone that wants to co-create a trip with us unfortunately so best to make your pitch stand out as much as possible. We don’t have a minimum follower count needed to be a co-creator however you need to demonstrate your knowledge of a destination and that you have an engaged audience for this type of trip.

  • You will get paid 50% of your earnings after all final payments for the trip are due, which is generally 60 days prior to departure. The remaining 50% of your earnings will be paid out after the trip has finished. If you have multiple departure dates in the one month, you will get paid at the end of each month for departure dates in that month.

  • Not at all! You can choose to attend some, none or all of the trips we co-create. Some creators may want to attend the majority of trips to travel for free and capture more content for their portfolio. Others may choose to keep travelling the globe, discovering new destinations or taking some time out back at home. It’s totally up to you (however it needs to be agreed at the time of planning).

  • Trova Trip is exclusively for hosts that are planning on being on the trip with their followers and it’s generally for just one departure date. We want to build a trip with you that can go year-round with lots of departure dates, either with or without you attending. The focus of these trips is to create an amazing adventure that reflects your knowledge and experience of a destination and bring together likeminded people, rather than specifically showcase a skill or offering of yours. We also offer a lot more support and customisation, plus we do paid marketing campaigns for the trip as well.

  • Not at all! We do the heavy lifting for you and you can be as involved as you’d like to be. Once we’ve agreed on a trip theme, we send through a questionnaire so that we can easily capture your thoughts on an itinerary (but we can also do this over a call/video chat if that’s preferable). We then take care of the rest with you then just creating some amazing content about your destination to really sell it!
